United We Stand

United We Stand

An American’s plea

I appeal to you brothers and sisters, in the name of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be Perfectly United in mind and thought…”

I Corinthians 1:10

Top News: Coronavirus Death toll rises. . . Protestors are met by more Federal Agents… Racial tensions rise after the death of another unarmed black man … the 2020 political race heats up as more negative campaign ads air… What is happening in America!!!!

year 2020

Election years have always been known for their controversial ad campaigns and promises made by both sides to sway the voters, but this election year has included some other, unexpected (COVID19) and revisited (Racial tension) highlights, as well as some unprecedented political moves (Federal agents called upon peaceful protestors). In a word, CHAOS.

With the global pandemic, economies shutting down and the sense of a “New Norm” becoming a reality, the world is still saying: “Oh my, what is going on with United States?” And rightfully so.  With so much division and unrest happening in our country, the word United doesn’t have the same feel as its definition: United – joined together politically, for a common purpose, or by common feelings. This principle does not seem evident today, which is somewhat disparaging, especially since our own Constitution, which this nation was founded on, eludes to a nation that will be United: “We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union…” Powerful words written over 231 years ago, yet we still can’t get it right.

We Can Stand United

News flash, we can get this right, if we choose to do so. Unity is a choice. We can choose to work towards accepting and embracing each other’s differences and opinions. We can choose to work with each other rather than against each other. We can choose to unite and begin seeing each other a Human race and not focus on the differences of our race (God created us differently and He doesn’t make mistakes-it was for a divine purpose to see if we would love and be kind to each other). It can be done, if we ALL just choose to make a change.

United We Stand

As an American citizen and more importantly, a servant of God, I appeal to my fellow Americans; let’s choose to work together to rebuild this great nation, let’s choose to work together to combat racism and injustice, let’s choose to work together to be the Democracy we were founded on, under the direction of our Creator, God Almighty. Let’s choose to once again be the United States of America.
